The Kent Co. Court House is an example of the Richardsonian Romanesque style of architecture popular for public buildings in the 1880s. The main entrance of the court house on Crescent St. featured six Romanesque style arches. The front steps of the building are still under construction in the photo, and building materials are visible in the foreground. One of the men, in the group at the right lower corner, sit on a wooden cask.
