Louis C. Towner - 1911

The Behnke building, in the center of the photo, was located at the SE corner of Michigan St. and Bond Ave. The second and third floor feature Palladian windows. The building at the far left housed G. Waltz & Sons at 123 Michigan NW and the second and third floors have an oriel window at the corner. Looking up Bond St. the tower of the County Courthouse can be seen at the edge of the Behnke Building, and just above the tree tops the tower of #4 Engine House is visible. A horse and buggy is parked on Michigan St. and other horse-drawn vehicles are on Bond.
