An explosion due to a leaking gas main caused total destruction to the building at 1500 Wealthy St. SE, at the southeast corner of Wealthy and Ethel Ave. on Tuesday, February 16th 2008. A firefighter is visible amid the rubble in the center of the photo. A broken utility pole is at the right and a leaning street sign indicating the intersection of Wealthy St. and Ethel Ave. is at the left. Walls of buildings adjacent to the explosion are in the background.
