Twelve men, most of them detectives and all wearing hats, pose for a group photo in a carpeted office of the police station. A small section of a rolltop desk is visible at the left, a large print hangs on the back wall, a tall cabinet stand to the right of it, and a light fixture is on the wall between the cabinet and the door. The names listed on the back of the photo are: 2nd row; Alex McDonald, John F. O'Leary, and John M. Hollaran: 1st row William Youngs, Chief Albert A. Carroll, Warren W. Sturgis, Thomas D. Blinston, Garrett Doyle, William Dunn, Press reporter Schaffer, and Charlie Fox. There are only eleven names listed.
