The bronze marker describes a brief history of the Three Fires, the Odawa, Ojibway, and Potawatami tribes. At the left of the marker is a map of Michigan and the Great Lakes. The plaque is located in the upper right corner of a larger marker dedicated to the Native Americans of the area.
