One entrance to the formal garden has brick pillars topped with gargloyes on either side, but it is believed those statues were not part of the original garden. The sculpted hedges interspersed with flowers create a geometric shape to the garden. The sun dial is directly ahead in the upper center of the photo. Another entrance to the garden is at the right in the shadows.
