The family of John Blodgett Sr. are photographed on the terrace of Brookby during the celebration of his eightieth birthday. Blodgett Sr. wears a dark suit and sits with his hands folded. John Jr. is seated on a bench across from his father, and daughter Katherine Blodgett Hadley is to the right of John Jr. between her daughters Katherine Blodgett Hadley and H. Barbara Hadley. At John Sr.'s immediate right is Sally Gallagher Blodgett, Jr.'s wife, and baby, and at the far left of the photo is Morris Hadley, husband of Katherine. His two sons, Arthur T. Hadley, named for his grandfather who was a president of Yale University, and John Wood Blodgett are on either side of Sally Blodgett.
