Richmond Park Pool on Opening Day (1)
1932
The Richmond Park pool is full of children playing, the perimeter is lined with parents and people from west side, and others sit in the bleachers behind the pool. The view is of the shallow end, and the stairs into the pool can be seen in the upper corner of the pool. One life guard is standing just to the right of the pool stairs, and another stands to the right of the bleachers. There is no fence around the pool, only rough posts with a single rope running between them. Two tents have been set up on the grass, and many cars are parked in the upper left corner of the photo. This photo was taken looking down from the roof of the bath house.
