Cleaning Bricks for Richmond Pool & Bath House

Workmen, employed by the Grand Rapids under the Scrip Project, clean bricks by hand at they sit on crates or piles of bricks in front of a sea of bricks. A foreman oversees the work, and at the far right a dump truck unloads more bricks.

Title by cataloger. The bricks came from buildings demolished along Grand River near Pearl St. that would make way for the new Civic Auditorium, also built by labor paid with scrip.
