Grand Rapids Sticky Fly Paper Co., Plate 2

Louis C. Towner - 1911

Both white and dark smoke comes from the stacks in another view of the Grand Rapids Sticky Fly Paper Co. Looking northwest you can see St. James Catholic Church whose steeple is at the right of the photo. Laundry is hanging on the line at one of the houses to the right of the Fly Paper company, and two horse drawn vehicles are on Seward. At the far right center railroad crossing bars are in an upright position probably across either Veto or California St. To the right of the Western Transfer Storage Co. several men are working on a pile of coal next to a railroad coal car.
