Notes | Title by cataloger. The Hite Photo Service was a Michigan company that did developing work for retail customers of stores such as K-Mart and Farmer Jacks. The company was the first photo developer in the metro-Detroit area to offer overnight color processing as well as double prints via their "bonus photo," at one time servicing 800 dealer locations. Begun in the family basement by patriarch Howard Hite in 1924. |
