Notes

4The SS Duilio was the first Italian super ocean liner. It began operation October 29, 1923 and ended in 1943 when it was sunk by allied aircraft. G.B. Russo had returned to Sicily to bring his daughter Josephine back to Grand Rapids. She was born in 1913 and appears to be about 11 or 12 years old in the photo.
