The freshman class of twenty-three girls, wearing their Marywood Academy uniforms, pose for their class photo for the 1940 yearbook, Veritas. The uniforms, generally of navy blue serge, also had white collars and cuffs. Several girls in the front row are wearing saddle shoes. Helen Panos, newly arrived from Greece, and a boarding student at Marywood, is in the middle row, third from the right. For the names of the other students see the Notes below.
