Wealthy St. Gas Works

1920s

Two large gas tanks at the right of the photo and the two round buildings at the left are all part of the Grand Rapids Gas Plant. Various outbuildings can be seen, some belonging to the Gas Plant while others are small businesses. The small building at the far left is the Bultema-Timmer Fuel Co. The building to the left of the Chesterfield billboard appears to be in the horseshoeing business. Many factories can be seen in the distance between the buildings and the tanks.
