Monroe Ave. near Lyon St.

Jack Ropoleski - 1979

The view looks south down Monroe with the Grand Rapids Mutual Building and the Pantlind Hotel in the center, a corner of the Exhibitors Building is just visible at the far right, and the Old Kent Bank building is at the far left. Lyon St. runs east and west between the GR Mutual Building and the Pantlind. The Woolworths Dime Store sign is just visible beyond the Pantlind. The space between the parking sign in the foreground and the Old Kent building will be occupied by the Calder Plaza Building. The empty space across Monroe is the construction site of the DeVos Performance Hall.
