Southeast Corner of Monroe and Michigan

Robinson Studio - 1940s

Dr. Robert W. Claytor had his offices on the second floor of the building occupied by the Burkhead and Collins Rexall Drug Store. His name on the arched window, above the fan reads, "R W Claytor, Physician and Surgeon." Attorney Floyd Skinner's name appears under the Rexall Sign. The Francis Hotel, across the street on the NE corner, is the site currently occupied by the Grand Rapids Press building. A drinking fountain is at the corner as well as a mailbox. A vintage truck is at the far left of the picture.
