Monroe and Division, 2009 (4)
GRHC - 2009
Monroe Center, formerly Monroe Ave., originally ran east beyond Division and intersected Fulton St. which created a triangular piece where the Civil War monument stands. The tall building in the distance is the former Michigan National Bank Building and the building at the center, the former Herpolsheimer's Department Store, currently houses the Grand Rapids Police Department, State of Michigan offices, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Western Michigan. To the right of the monument are three maps of the downtown area.
