Officer Thomas Marshall on his Harley Davidson

Officer Thomas Marshall on his Harley Davidson

1930

Marshall sits on his motorcycle outside the entrance of the Police Dept. garage. He wears a close-fitting leather helmet similar to an aviator's. Unlike the earlier uniforms for motorcycle officers his does not include putees to keep his trousers close, but rather a strap encloses them. The motorcycle has a windshield and a protective cover across the handlebars. Double headlights are in front of the cover and what appears to be a siren and a flasher are mounted on the front fender.
