Louis C. Towner - 1911
Smoke inspector Towner recorded information about his photographs of smoke violations on the covers of his glass negatives. The photo of the Grand Rapids Brewing Co. was taken from the clock tower (City Hall) on May 13, 1911 at 7:25 a.m.. He cites his exposure of 1/10 sec. at F16. Four minutes probably indicates the length of time the smoke continued from the stack.
