Richard G. Kessler's certificate of graduation from Grand Rapids City High School includes the state of Michigan seal, and has been signed by Vernis L. Schad, president of the school board, David Bailey, board secretary, Phillip Runkel, superintendent of schools, and Linda Powell, principal of City High School. This was the first class to graduate from City High School. There has been an addition to the certificate at the bottom and the right, probably by a young child.
