Beneath the title of the postcard, View of Grand Rapids Showing some World Famous Factories, is a list of some of the factories in the photograph: Berkey & Gay Furniture Co., Grand Rapids Bewing Co., New England Furniture co. Adolph Leitelt, Grand Trunk Depot, Valley City Milling Co., Elliott Machine Co., and Bissell Carpet Sweeper Co. Several stacks send forth their plumes of smoke. Two trolley cars cross the Bridge St. bridge at the left with the depot behind them.
