Showcase Cinemas Grand Rapids

Built in 1985 in Cascade Township and operated by National Amusements, with William Towey as CEO. This and the Cascade Drive-In were Redstone theaters. 50 employees in 1998. Described in a Press article of December 20, 1998, as “forlorn,” the 10-screen complex was expected to be the most vulnerable to closure when the Jack Loeks theatres' Celebration! Cinema would open on the East Beltline in 1999.
