Alpine Four

In 1970, Jack Loeks grabbed a choice piece of property when he purchased land for the Alpine Theater near the I-96 / US-131 interchange. It later became known as the Alpine Twin; and by 1998 was known as the Alpine Four, with all seats only $1.50 for its second-run movies. The last day of business for the theater was Sunday, April 14, 2002; and it was razed for a new retail development in May, 2002.
