City Horses Collection

Horses played a major role in city life prior to the automobile. They provided transporation for carriages, trolleys, police and fire wagons, delivery wagons, and any type of vehicle that needed to move throughout the city. After the automobile was well established horses disappeared from city streets. They became a source of pleasure and recreation, as well as continuing their role in sports such as racing and polo.
