Art of Daniel Wadsworth Coit

Daniel Coit first arrived in Grand Rapids in 1833, and Louis Campau pointed out some of the best land available. Coit purchased a large amount of property along the Grand River running inland to what is now Coit Ave. You can read more about him and his travels in the photo essay, Daniel W. Coit, Adventurer and Artist.
