The Log Jam of 1883 Marker

The marker commemorates the great log jam that occured in the Grand River on July 26, 1883. The illustration depicts a covered bridge with Phoenix Furniture Co. inscribed above and the logs rushing past the Pearl St. Bridge. The marker was a gift to the City from the Junior League of Grand Rapids on April 5, 1983.
