In an online digital library, Maciej Adamski discovered a letter in an old magazine, Tygodnik Illustrowany Lech, dated April 12, 1879, from Polish citizens of Grand Rapids sent to a Polish newspaper. They had written to congratulate a famous polish writer. Its great value, as a primary source document, is verification that signers of the letter were in Grand Rapids by 1879.
