This view of Hall School, built in 1892, looks toward the southwest with Grandville Ave. in the foreground. A second school was built in 1955-56 at the left of the photograph and the old building demolished shortly after. A third school, Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School which is under construction in 2008-09, is built on the site of the original 1893 school. Hall Street, not in the photo, is to the north (on the right) and runs perpendicular to Grandville Ave.
