Construction of Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School & Hall School

GRHC - 2008

Hall Elementary School, at the corner of Grandville and Shamrock SW, built in 1955-56, is scheduled for demolition in the summer of 2009. The large crane behind it is part of the construction site for a new building, Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School which will stand at the corner of Grandville and Hall St. SW. A few verticle steel columns of the new construction can be seen beneath the crane. The green street sign "Grandville Av SW", the official street name, is under the smaller blue sign, "Cesar E. Chavez Blvd", the honorary title. A portion of the construction company trailer is visible at the right, and cars belonging to the construction crew are parked around the building.
