1912
Interior of Herkner Jewelry store shows large furniture-like display cabinets along the wall and glass and wood display counters with heavy legs in the center of the floor which appears to be covered in a geometrically patterned linoleum. Lights on long cords drop from a pressed tin ceiling. Barely visible is the transporting mechanism which sent a customer's money to the cashier seated on a raised platformat the back of the store. At the back a sign indicates the Optical Department and to the right of that light comes in through the door of the Ottawa St. entrance. Herkner stands at the right, and two or three male clerks can be seen as well as a male customer on the left in a straw hat and a woman on the right behind Herkner.
